700 Years Before The Birth Of Christ, Isaiah Prophesied His Coming. It was done in such detail that many Orthodox Jews today... mistake that Old Testament Prophecy for part of the New Testament. See Isaiah 53.

It was actually very simple... we have sinned... and God is going to send a Saviour to take our punishment.

To me one of the Great parts of the prophecy (aside from eternal salvation) is the promise that... "By His Stripes, We Are Healed."

The Word in the Greek for "Saved" is SOZO. But the meaning is so much broader than just eternal salvation. It means in the original Greek, to make us Whole and Healthy and Cared For... "NOW & Forever!"

Over my 50 years as a missionary... I have been healed numerous times... from sickness, accidents and even ageing. My leg was once so badly broken doctors said I would never walk again without crutches. I have since climbed mountains and done things I could have never dreamed of, before the accident.

Sometimes we all worry... at least I do... about my health... But I'm guessing if Jesus was here... He'd treat me like Thomas the doubter. He'd say... "Do you need to put your fingers into the stripes that I received... BECAUSE... By Those Stripes... You Are Healed."

I absolutely love the daily inspirations on this website. I'm a single mom raising two kiddos and these bolts of light give me hope to keep fighting on. They really brighten my day. They remind me that nothing is too hard for Jesus. He never fails.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.
