Folks being all Santa-ed out is an obvious joke to sincere Christians... but even many sincere Christian miss the main point that Christ's Birth was the Birth of the Lamb of God... the sacrificial lamb that would be killed for our atonement. John 1:29
.
It was no mistake that a bunch of shepherds were called down to visit Christ on the night of His birth. The Symbolism was clear... the shepherds were coming to see the birth of the lamb. Luke 2:8-15
.
They weren't just there whistling Dixie...they were there to bear witness to the birth of God's Pure & Perfect Sacrificial Lamb. When the Wise Men showed up is questionable... BUT The Shepherds... they were there the night Christ was born.
.
Overall it was serious business. This babe was destined to die... He was going to die in our place. He was going to be as a lamb going to the slaughter. He would not open His mouth... He would go willingly... obediently... faithfully. Isaiah 53:6-8
.
It was So HUGE... The Whole World Would Be Turned Upside Down. His Birth, Life & Death Would Change Everything. This Was The Birth of Christ... The Lamb Of God!
.
Which brings us to a point... Do You Know Him? If not... you can... He Loves You & Died To Save & Help You. He Is Your Truest Friend... Your Greatest Hope... & The Answer To All Your Problems. Invite Him Into Your life & He Will Be More To You Than A Light... And Better Than A Known Way.

The Sacrifice

I absolutely love the daily inspirations on this website. I'm a single mom raising two kiddos and these bolts of light give me hope to keep fighting on. They really brighten my day. They remind me that nothing is too hard for Jesus. He never fails.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.
Jesus, the same yesterday today and forever.
