50 years ago, when I received Christ into my life, this fellow told me that I could pray to receive the Holy Spirit. Long story short... I Did... and suddenly The Word Just Jumped Out At Me. I had read the Bible before, but it was dry and put me to sleep, Now... It Was Just... WOW! You mean He Really Meant That... This Really Happened... That Really Happened! WOW & Double WOW!

It Changed My Life... and it wasn’t That Hard. I just had to ask.

There are many gifts of God’s Spirit which you can look up in 1 Corinthians 12:1-11. I think you get what you need when you pray for it. For ME It Was Just the Most Magnificent Teacher.

Also, quite surprisingly, I suddenly could learn other languages with ease. That might sound stupid to you... but I had sat in the back of Spanish Class for 2 years and learned nothing. I didn’t want to learn it and I slept through most of it. Suddenly Spanish was so easy and just rolled off my Tongue. After a couple of years, I was fluent... dreamed in Spanish... witnessed in Spanish... and worked in Spanish.

After that I went to China and learned very good and workable Chinese. Following that I came here to Japan and am now fluent in Japanese. Trust Me... It Wasn’t Me... It Was The Lord’s Spirit Working in my life. In the last 50 years... It Has Been the Greatest Encourager, Comforter and Teacher. Through ups and downs His Spirit was right there with me to Comfort, Lead & Guide.

So Point of The Post... Do You Need a Boost... Something To Change Your Life. Pray and Ask the Lord to give you His Spirit. A Christian without it, is like a car without gas.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.
