I think the Lord gives everyone a chance... to receive Him... or reject Him. Even the Inn Keeper had to make a choice at Christ's birth. Very inconvenient to take that pregnant lady into the Inn... so nope... sorry... Move along... you're not wanted here. Matthew 10:40
.
In many situations where it is illegal or impossible to openly witness... we have always made it known what we believe in and who we believe in. Invariably some folks receive us... and others hate and reject us. It really is a choice they make. Matthew 10:40-42
.
Take old Rahab the harlot who protected and received the Israelite spies who had gone in to check out Jericho. Not only did the Lord protect her when the walls came tumbling down... but she went on to marry one of the Israelites and became Jesus's Great, Great, Great, Great, Great Grandmother. WOW!
.
We all make choices... Receive or Reject.
.
Many times receiving Christ looks like a huge mistake... but funny thing is... from everything I've seen in my life... it works out pretty well in the end for those that do. Great lives of love, faith & hope.
.
Not only do we get Heaven... but we are also greatly blessed in this life also.
.
I'm guessing the folks who helped Mary & Joseph find the stable did pretty well. Little did they know they would be hosting Kings and Wisemen... Shepherds and Angels... And Most Wonderfully... The Son Of God!

All Must Choose

I absolutely love the daily inspirations on this website. I'm a single mom raising two kiddos and these bolts of light give me hope to keep fighting on. They really brighten my day. They remind me that nothing is too hard for Jesus. He never fails.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.
Jesus, the same yesterday today and forever.
