You'd think after thousands of years... folks would realize that following the Lord was a winner... BUT...

Noah's descendants didn't say... "Wow God saved us from the flood and for all time we are going to obey and follow Him."
.
The Egyptians didn't go... "Wow God parted the red sea... we should follow Him."
.
When Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, folks didn't say... "Wow... the Lord overcame death... we're gonna give it all up and follow Him."
.
Instead it was a momentary interest... and folks got back to what was really interesting to them... which was... THEM. Their money, their house, their food. Those that received what the Lord did... And Changed were few and far between.

Thing is, Noah's kids eventually got back into the same garbage that brought about the flood in the 1st place. Egypt was crushed and destroyed. Those that do not receive the Lord and all His wondrous works... His Love... His Truth... His Sacrifice... they're just gonna pay the price & suffer... and that's it. God is merciful... He Gives Folks A Chance... Every Chance... BUT SADLY... very few will take it.

Like the old drunk at the bar said, "Heaven is great and all... But for meeting old friends... there's no place like Hell." He was probably right because...
