Mary, Joseph and Jesus Flee To Egypt
Mary, Joseph and Jesus Flee To Egypt

Wait A Minute... That's Only Half The Story! Christ was born... the Shepherds came... the Wise Men came... BUT... that's not the end of it... BECAUSE...
.
There was a  really rotten and jealous King named Herod ... and he was just nuts. He heard the prophecy... he heard the wise men had visited the new young King... and like every evil King before him and after him... he was out to destroy the competition.
.
The Wise Men had made a deal to go back and tell Herod where the Baby was... BUT... God gave them a dream and told them not to do that... So They Split without the return trip to Herod. WOW... was Herod furious... and you know what he did... he ordered his men to kill every baby boy in Bethlehem under the age of 2.
.
Off Go The Wise Men... and here comes Herod's gang.. spears in hand... knives and swords... out to kill every little baby boy. Jeremiah 31:15  Jerusalem to Bethlehem is about 10 Kilometers... not a long journey. What's God Do?
.
Well He sends an Angel to tell Joseph to split town and go to Egypt and wait there. Middle of the night... Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus sneak quietly out of town and leave the country. Thankfully they have the Gold the Wise Men gave them... so they have funds to travel & live on.
.
In comes the Army and they murder every baby boy there under the age of 2... WOW! Matthew 2:17&18
.
Time passes... Jesus grows up a bit... and then old Evil Herod... Gets what he deserves. God strikes him dead and Herod goes to dust.
.
With Herod gone... the Angel tells Joseph he can return... and He, Mary & Jesus move to Nazareth in Galilee... where Christ grows to become a man.
.
And That's... The Rest Of The Story.

I absolutely love the daily inspirations on this website. I'm a single mom raising two kiddos and these bolts of light give me hope to keep fighting on. They really brighten my day. They remind me that nothing is too hard for Jesus. He never fails.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.

Jesus, the same yesterday today and forever.
