Don't Be In It To Make A Buck
There was a point the Lord was trying to make when he allowed Judas to betray Him. It was not a mistake. The message was clear... there are those who are not in it for the right reason. Their concern is the power... the money... the influence... and what THEY can get... Beware.
.
And... The message was, "regardless of these crooks and scumbags... keep your eyes on the goal... run your race... be faithful to the end... no matter what."
.
It's nothing new... but the Lord allowed it for a purpose. Because...
Throughout history those kinds of folks have just been a problem. Entrusted with the precious gift of God's Word and message, they were deceived by the enemy and his tricks. In Judas' case he actually had the Living Word... JESUS... right there with him and he still turned his back on God. Matthew 26:24
.
The point being... Jesus knows and understands what all true Christians go through... even right down to having to deal with the money hungry, selfish, self centered crooks that are a sore on the body politick of Christianity. The message of Judas's betrayal is very clear... Regardless Of What Others Do... We Need To Keep Going For God. Don't let traitors and betrayers deflect you from your calling and mission. Be Faithful To The End.
.
And Sometimes... The Judases of Life Will Propel You... To Your Destiny... As Judas Propelled Christ To The Cross.
.
Ultimately... the Judas's of this life... the Richy Riches etc... they eventually will get what they deserve. What goes around... comes around. Folks reap what they sow. Don't focus on them... focus on your job... your mission... what the Lord wants you to do with your life. Trust that in the end, the Lord will set everything right... And He Will.
.
The Lord allowed Judas's treason, with the reason, to teach us all... to keep our eyes on Heaven and be faithful regardless of what others do.

I absolutely love the daily inspirations on this website. I'm a single mom raising two kiddos and these bolts of light give me hope to keep fighting on. They really brighten my day. They remind me that nothing is too hard for Jesus. He never fails.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.
Jesus, the same yesterday today and forever.
