We Won't Be Bought
The enemy thinks everybody can be bought... & He has a point. He even thought Jesus could be bought... and offered Christ the world for his allegiance. Matthew 4:9 BUT... The Truth Is...
.
All the money and riches of this world can't satisfy the human heart & soul & spirit. The only thing that can... is love... and the greatest love... is the Love of God.
.
That's why Abraham was willing to give up his son Issac...
Why Moses could leave the palace & riches of Egypt...
Why David would not kill God's anointed leader... King Saul...
Why Peter could leave his boat and fishing business...
Why Matthew could walk away from his tax collecting gig...
Why Paul could leave his lofty respectable position in the temple.
.
They could see there was much more than just this dog eat dog world... they could see that the here and now is only temporary. They were willing to give up everything because they valued something more. Hebrews 11
.
Personally... I do have a price that I'd sell out for. That Price...
Is Heaven. I'd give up everything for it. "This world is not my home... I'm just a passin' through." How @ you? What do you value most? What do you spend most of your time on? James 4:14
.
"Seek ye 1st the Kingdom of God & all of His righteousness... then all these things will be added unto you." Matthew 6:33
.
Put Him 1st & You Will Get All This & Heaven Too.

We Won’t Be Bought
(Song Lyrics)
[Verse 1]
The enemy figures we’ve all got a price…
Money… fame… a little power would be nice.
What’s yours… if I might ask?
To make you do… old Satan’s tasks.
He even offered Christ the world,
But Christ at the enemy the truth did hurl:
Get behind me, you dirty snake!
Only God our worship rates!
[Chorus]
Give God the glory… worship and serve!
Resist the devil… hell he deserves.
For all this world… we won’t be bought—
That’s the truth… that Jesus taught!
[Verse 2]
Abraham, Moses… and David too
Put God first… because they knew
That He was righteous… He was true,
The God who loves… both me and you.
Peter and Paul… gave God His due,
Of this world… they had a different view.
That Heaven was… the eternal prize,
That that’s the place… to cast our eyes.
[Chorus]
Give God the glory… worship and serve!
Resist the devil… hell he deserves.
For all this world… we won’t be bought—
That’s the truth… that Jesus taught!
[Bridge]
We know this world… is not our home,
Just a short time… here we’ll roam.
We’ll do God’s will… and follow Him,
As earthly treasures… all grow dim.
[Final Chorus]
God alone deserves our praise,
Only Him we’ll serve always.
For all the world… we won’t be bought—
That’s the truth… that Jesus taught!
[Repeat Chorus]
God alone deserves our praise,
Only Him we’ll serve always.
For all the world… we won’t be bought—
That’s the truth… that Jesus taught!
[Outro]
For all the world… we won’t be bought—
That’s the truth… that Jesus taught!
I absolutely love the daily inspirations on this website. I'm a single mom raising two kiddos and these bolts of light give me hope to keep fighting on. They really brighten my day. They remind me that nothing is too hard for Jesus. He never fails.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning. I was thinking about the future in this life, thinking how am I going to make it. He has always done so much for me in the past but what's going happen now? So, these are great promises.
Jesus, the same yesterday today and forever.
