That's the thing that has always impressed me about Peter... He was the guy who was willing to get out of the boat. Granted... he didn't get far... But He Tried.

So few are willing to try. You know... the waves are big... the water's cold... the sea is deep... But old Peter... he knew all that. He'd been a fisherman all his life. He'd probably seen men drown... he completely knew the dangers... NEVERTHELESS... he swung his feet out of the boat and walked on the water and tried to get to Jesus.

I think the Lord is proud of those who are willing to try. Those who are willing to take a step of faith... even when it could mean persecution or difficulty.

Maybe our step is to go to a mission field... or sacrifice to help someone... or pass out Christian literature.

Maybe it's to share how Jesus changed our lives with a friend.

Whatever it is... God Help Us To Get Out Of OUR Boat... And Try.

If we will but try... Ultimately We Will Not Fail. Matthew 28:14-30
