Only His Victory... Overcomes The World

Looking at an old trophy I won some years ago... I glanced above and saw a cross we have hanging on the wall. I thought of all my victories and triumphs... and it just hit me so hard... how each accomplishment was nothing compared to what Christ had done. Where my victory had been just for me... His victory was for us all.

How humble He was to leave the halls of Heaven and take on our earthly form. To live as we lived... to suffer as we suffer... to die as we die. And He did it all so we could live and return to Heaven with Him.

My proud victories... soon to be forgotten. Compared to His Eternal Victory & Sacrifice. As the fellow said... “Oh what Fools These Mortals Be”... guess that fool has often been me.

This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.  1 John 5:4
